Kory Marie earned her MFA in 2010. 

Her poems have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies, including Bateau, North American Review, Ascent, Florida Review, Tampa Review, Zone 3, and elsewhere under the name, Kory M. Shrum. She's also published sixteen science fiction and fantasy novels under this name.

 

Her three poetry collections are published under the name K.B. Marie.

In the past, she's worked with several independent presses and publications, including New Issues Press, Zone 3 Press, Third Coast Literary Magazine, and the Los Angeles Review, before launching her own publishing company, Timberlane Press, in 2014.

 

In December 2020, she debuted her first podcast, "Who Killed My Mother?" A true story about the tragic death of her mom.

She lives in Michigan with her wife, Kimberly, and their pug, Charley.
